AB Mauri began to be developed thanks to different acquisitions in the region between 1990 and 1992 when the Australian group acquired Calsa - the leader of the bakery ingredients industry in Argentina – to their traditional owners Fermentos S.A. and Fermolac S.A.

One year later, in 1993, a joint venture 50-50 was created to handle Collico, brand owned by the Kunstamnn family, which counts with more than 100 years of experience in the market of bakery ingredients in that country. In 1996 an expansion in Uruguay took place through the acquisition of LUSA (Levaduras Uruguayas S.A.), a familiar company whose registered tradename, Terry, competed in those years with Fleischmann.-Nabisco for the leadership of the local market. The arrival of Fleischmann occurred with the purchase of this bradname to the Kraft group in hispano-america during November 2002 for a total amount of 110 MM dollars. In 2004 the British group ABF acquired Burns Philp the business of yeasts and bakery ingredients as well as the herbs and spices one, giving origin to AB Mauri at global level, and to AB Mauri Hispano-America in the region.

Both constitute one of the main pillars over that the trajectory of the group is build.
